Christopher Moreland heads up the Legal Writing and Appellate Department at Yaeger, Jungbauer & Barczak where he drafts briefs and argues motions and appeals defending the rights of injured railroaders and other clients in state and federal courts across the country. Chris is one of the attorneys of record (along with Mike Weiner, a fellow Yaeger, Jungbauer & Barczak attorney), and co-authored the appellate briefs in the case of Kissoondath v. United States Fire Ins., which is believed to be the largest (non-corporate) insurance bad faith judgment in Minnesota. He also has had many articles published in the Minnesota Trial Lawyer Magazine.
Originally from Grand Forks, North Dakota, Chris came to Minneapolis in 1994. He joined the firm in 1996 while in law school at Hamline University. He has lectured at continuing legal education seminars on the FELA and other issues, and travels frequently to meet and speak with rail labor members across the country on the FELA and other legal matters. In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter.
