Joseph Sayler, an associate at Yaeger, Jungbauer & Barczak, focuses his practice on personal injury litigation, which includes Federal Employers' Liability Act (FELA) injury, collision, and wrongful death cases. Joe’s practice consists of defending the rights of injured railroaders and other clients in state and federal courts across the country. Joe also does Appellate work.
Joe joined YJB after clerking for the Honorable Ellen L. Maas in Minnesota’s 10th Judicial District. Originally from Garrison, North Dakota, Joe received his B.S. magna cum laude from the University of North Dakota. Joe moved to Minneapolis in 2005, and received his law degree cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law in 2008. During law school, Joe was a staff member for the William Mitchell Law Review; worked extensively for Professor Michael Steenson; held leadership roles in several student organizations; and was a special assistant for the District Judges Association Civil Jury Instruction Committee (CIV-JIG) Handbook Project. Since law school, Joe has published an article on the I-35W Bridge-Collapse Compensation Fund with Professor Steenson. Joe has also volunteered with the Volunteer Lawyers Network, the Minnesota State Bar Association – Civic Education Committee, the American Red Cross, and in New Orleans on behalf of Hurricane Katrina victims. In his free time, Joe enjoys golf, blues, hunting, writing, and cooking.
