We are pleased to announce that once again, Yaeger & Jungbauer Barristers, PLC has been named to the top tier of law firms NATIONALLY by U.S. News and World Reports in the field of Railroad Law. YJB is the only plaintiff’s FELA firm to have been consistently named a Best Law Firm every year since the publication begin recognizing Railroad Law as a distinct practice area. YJB attorneys Bill Jungbauer, John Magnuson, and Christopher Bowman have also been named to The Best Lawyers in America.
Since its inception in 1983, Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Because Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 41,000 leading attorneys cast almost 3.9 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”
Recently, the U.S. department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration has ordered the Union Pacific Railroad Co., headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, to immediately reinstate an employee to his former position with the same pay and benefits, and to pay the employee more than $200,000, representing back wages, compensatory damages, attorney’s fees and punitive damages.
